Upcoming Events & News

Discretionary Fund: This Sunday the loose plate offering (gifts not designated for pledges, building, etc.) will be deposited into the Rector’s Discretionary Fund. Fr. Jim uses this fund to assist people who come to our church in need of help, to purchase items for the Community Meals as needed, and to support charitable causes. 

Pet Blessing: Bring your furry friends for the Blessing of the Animals on October 8th at 2pm. Donations of dog food, cat food or money will be accepted and given to the Humane Society. Gather on the lawn in front of the parish hall for the festivities!

Signup for Bible Study: If you are interested in participating in Bible Study following episodes of the film series of The Chosen, please let us know by signing up in the Narthex or contacting Katie in the office. We will watch the film, then discuss some of the Bible passages used in the episode.


Forward Day by Day: The November, December, and January issue of Forward Day by Day has arrived and will be available for you to pick up this Sunday in the Narthex and in the office during the week. We will also mail you a copy if you wish – please call or email Katie if you would like her to mail one to you.


Office Hours: Katie’s hours going forward will be a little different. She will be available in the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am-12pm. For now, she will take Wednesday off. If there are any changes, they will be noted here.


Halloween on Main Street: From Goulies and Ghosties, Long-Leggitie Beasties and Things that go Bump in the Night; good Lord deliver us!” Litany from Cornwall, c.1500. The annual Halloween on Main Street will be on Saturday, October 28th and hundreds of goblins will come by our doors. Please help us feed them by bringing candy. You can leave your donations in the Narthex or the church office. Thank You!


Altar Flowers: There are some upcoming Sundays in October that are available for anyone who wants to volunteer to supply altar flowers. Those dates are: 22nd, and 29th. Please contact Jo Cargill-Krug to reserve one of these dates; Katie will contact you in regards of what you wish to have noted in the bulletins the week of your date.


Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship. We promise you will still be able to beat the Baptists and Methodists to lunch afterwards.

  • Pub Theology: Thursday, October 12th at 6pm at US Pizza.
  • Choral Evensong: Sunday, October 22nd at 5pm.
  • Churchmen’s Club Meeting: Tuesday, October 24th at Kirk Warden’s house; time TBA.
  • Care Team Meeting: Sunday, October 29th at 6pm. 


Episcopal Church Women’s Fall Gathering: This year’s ECW Fall Gathering will be hosted by St. Bartholomew’s of Fort Smith, October 13th-14th. It will take place at 2701 Old Greenwood Rd. Fort Smith, AR 72903. The registration fee is $30 now and after October 1st, the fee will be $35. Care Team Collection: The Care Team is collecting personal care items to be distributed. There will be a basket to collect items at the front of the church as well as a box in the church office. Items to bring can include: travel size toothpaste and toothbrushes, dental floss, Kleenex, soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer, wipes, washcloths, deodorant, sunscreen, bug spray, feminine hygiene products and other toiletries.


Blessing Box: Donations for non-perishable food items are needed for our Blessing Box, previously known as the Little Library. Foods that are ready to eat and pop top items are suggested. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

St. Paul’s Prayer List:


Prayer requests will stay on the Parish Prayer List for four weeks with the exception of parishioners with ongoing needs. If you wish a prayer request to remain on the list, please call the office to renew the request.
