We will have Trunk or Treat in the church parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 28th from 1-2PM. At 1PM, we will have a small parade around the parking lot and then trick or treating will begin. There will be cookies and juice boxes on the church porch for all. Please enter the parking lot from the parsonage driveway and park in the area by the cornfield. You can exit the event through the cemetery driveway. This will keep the children safe from car traffic. Come enjoy safe and fun trick or treating.

If you’d like to decorate your trunk, please arrive at noon to set up. We’re planning for 75-100 kids. There’s a signup sheet in the narthex.

We will be showing the Great Courses video series Understanding the Old Testament on Thursdays at noon. Please sign up in the narthex when you plan on attending and if you’d like to provide soup & bread for any week.

There is a gratitude jar in the narthex. Jot down what you’re thankful for and we’ll share it during worship.

A big thank you to everyone who helped in any way at our yard sale! It was a huge success! We had beautiful weather, lots of people, and raised $3,914. All items that were left were donated to several organizations that help others. God is good!

There will be a social following worship on October 8. Thank you to the Sammons & Barner families for hosting.

Change for Change offering benefiting Doylestown Share-A-Christmas will take place on October 15. We will be adopting children and purchasing items they need like clothes, coats, & shoes and a few fun gifts as well. Please gather your change and donate to this mission project.

Healing Service – October 29 following worship. Rev. Tom Gerstenlauer will be guest preaching.

Pete’s Repeats at Blue Peacock Antiques, Winchester, VA

By: Peter Rich

During the recent yard sale, I became aware that many of my Emanuel friends were not aware that I have been involved in reselling antiques and collectibles. It started innocently enough with friends at an antique mall in Columbus. While visiting one day, I saw the opportunity for the 3 of us to sell some of our duplicate collectibles. That was the start of what has become Pete’s Repeats...

To Our Church Family:

This past month has been an especially difficult time for Nancy and me. It has been your cards, well wishes, visits, prayers, and God's grace that have sustained us. It is with sincere gratitude that we say thank you! You are truly our "Family."

God Bless,

Ernie and Nancy Lyons
