Greetings SkyHawks!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you enjoyed Club Rush on Friday. I know we did! Here’s hoping that you found some fun, interesting and/or exciting clubs to join! School always seems to be more fun when you’re active in clubs and activities!

  • This Wednesday we will have representatives from Cal State San Bernardino on campus talking to our Juniors. Students, you will attend these sessions with your English class. Please report to your English class to take attendance and then you will all go to the MPR. Enjoy!

  • Just a reminder that we still have Wellness Wednesdays. This Wednesday will be Puzzles & Games on Teams at 6:30 PM. Students, please see your Counselor if you would like more information.

  • This week is Senior Night for several of our Fall Sports. Monday night our Girls Volleyball team will be celebrating their seniors at 5:15 PM in the Gym- wear your Tie Dye to support our team! This Thursday at our home Football game, we will be celebrating our seniors for our Football players, Band, Color Guard and Cheer. The game starts at 7:30 PM and wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Hope to see you there!

  • September’s Students of the Month will be announced on Monday. These students will attend a pizza party with me! Congratulations in advance and I look forward to celebrating this special honor with you!

  • Parents, please mark your calendars that Monday, October 10th, will be a day of student non-attendance. Staff will be on site, but there will be no school that day.

As always, we are here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

SENIORS!!!

Here's a copy of the PowerPoint that was shared at our recent Senior Parent Meeting. There's lots of important information and upcoming dates that you want to put on your calendar.

You can always see updated senior information at: www.fusd.net/summitseniors

  • College and Financial Aid Applications Attention Seniors! The application window for CSU, UC, and FAFSA/CA Dream Act is now open. As a reminder, keep track of all the deadlines (UC/CSU schools, Private Colleges, scholarships, FAFSA/ CA Dream Act), read the instructions, give sufficient time to recommenders to write your letter of recommendation, and provide all the requested information.

  • Counselors will also be working with seniors through their English classes on October 4th and 6th to start the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA). As an FUSD student, your senior has access to CaliforniaColleges.edu , a wonderful tool that helps your student with understanding both the college application process and financial aid application process. During our time with them, we will get them logged into their CCGI account and show them how to start the financial aid process. Your student will need to have access to their social security number (if they have one) and know the exact spelling of their name as it is on their social security card to start this process. If you are not comfortable with them having this information, they will need to sit down with you to complete this task.

If you want your Club meeting featured in this section, please email Mrs. K at karpjc@fusd.net and give her all the details for your upcoming club meeting/event!
