As a nonprofit organization, Main Street Alexander City relies on donations and memberships to accomplish our goals. We are dedicated to the revitalization, promotion and restoration of historic downtown Alexander City. From strengthening current businesses to promoting the successes of new businesses, we are focused on attracting shoppers, tourists and prospective clients to our downtown. We do all this while still preserving the historic character and charm to our Main Street District.

January Business Spotlight: The Mercantile on Main
It's time for our first business spotlight of 2022, and we're excited to feature The Mercantile on Main!

The Mercantile on Main opened in June of 2021 and is located inside the Carlisle's building in beautiful downtown Alex City. Inside this unique store you will find several merchants that offer antiques, vintage finds, boutique clothing, children's heirloom outfits, custom jewelry, home decor, spices + seasonings, and SO MUCH MORE!

So, come grab a bite to eat at Carlisle's and shop around our store - we promise you'll find something you can't live without! Follow our Facebook page to stay up to date on new items that arrive daily!

Open M-F from 10am - 5pm & Saturday 10am - 2pm
Main Street board meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month at 12:00 pm located at the Main Street office for anyone who would like to attend!
