Teacher Extern Looks to Bring Authentic Learning to Classroom
Jessica Waller
Jessica completed her teacher extern at Cargill in Fort Dodge. She spent her time shadowing many different departments and learning about all the products made at the facility. Jessica worked with the Mill Department and the lab, with her main job being to develop a new method for collecting data about corn germ and analyzing the results. Not only did Jessica help with day to day tasks, she also worked to identify jobs and projects high school interns could work on. Her favorite thing from her time at Cargill was the feeling of pride that what she was doing could impact the daily work lives of people at Cargill Fort Dodge and possibly Cargill facilities all over the world.
