GVFL K-2nd Flag Football Updates

Important

As discussed at the parent meeting, volunteers are needed to help with play tracking. Players will be rotated after each play so that each gets lots of playing time.

A very simple tracking sheet has been created so that any adult volunteer can check off the players after each play.

We require that a parent from each team stand over on the team bench sideline and assist the coaches each week. Please get a text chain going with the rest of your team's parents.

And don't forget to read the GVFL Flag Football Rules

While at the GVCO Center Complex:

Drive very slowly and watch out for both children and adults

Park in proper parking areas

Stay out of the dirt and areas being landscaped

No pets of any kind are allowed on the grounds of the GVCO Community Center complex

Positive cheering no matter the team

Parents should not enter the playing field unless directed by a coach or referee

The fenced side of the field is for coaches and players only

Calling All Volunteers Who Like

Getting Their Hands Dirty

Now that we have a "new home" with the new GVCO Community Center complex...it's time to start taking care of it! It's a great time of year to plant and grow grass.

October 3rd 3-5PM at GVCO, 51 N. Bacton Hill Rd., Malvern

Several student and adult volunteers are needed to work on the 3 islands in the complex parking lot. The stones need to be raked out, grass seed thrown down and some straw to help it grow.

Gardening gloves are highly recommended but not required.

Financing the new

GVCO Community Center

It's time for everyone in our Great Valley community to GIVE BACK. The community's support over the past six years has been tremendous [Donor List 8/31].

Let's finish what we started, paying off the debt and moving forward with the next phase of the project. To do this, the support must continue and be more broad based.

We are asking for help from the entire Great Valley private, public and business community.

Ways You Can Give

For further details on the project, how you can make a significant financial impact or information with regard to Naming Rights for the complex and areas throughout the project, please reach out to Keith Walsh at execdirector@gvco.org
