June is in full swing, and we never outgrow our childhood excitement of summer break. We are beckoned to take a well-deserved break from our hectic schedules with the enticement of sunshine and relaxation.
This year I took advantage of all my daughters being available during a small early June window and returned to the S.C. beaches for the first time since COVID. Unfortunately, this was scheduled long before a Downtown Youngstown explosion required the Simply Slavic Festival relocation less than three weeks out. This resulted in much beach time spent at a desk. Despite this, tans were had and good memories were made.
I bet many of you have experienced similar crisis management during a family vacation. But that does not mean that it’s not essential to try to carve out time off, whether you’re planning to travel out of town or simply enjoy a staycation.
Entrepreneurs like us operate relentlessly, managing the demands of running a business. Add to the responsibilities of volunteer leadership roles and family responsibilities, and it can be overwhelming. Stepping away from routine boosts creativity, leading to innovative solutions and fresh approaches to challenges. By setting a positive example, you promote a culture that values balance and reduces stress. Time away also helps rediscover your passion for work, translating into better leadership.
At MARQUEE, the power of balance and time for rejuvenation are core values for our team. This summer, we are scheduling breaks and adventures that the Team will share with you on our social platforms in hopes that it will inspire you to do the same and share your stories!
I promise, that whether you venture far or stay close to home, the benefits of a break will ripple through your personal and professional life, enhancing your creativity, productivity, and overall well-being.
Here’s to a summer filled with relaxation, inspiration, and revitalization!
