Growing Together

Growing together is what we do best! We grow skills, we grow friendships, and we plant seeds that sprout new textile enthusiasts. Working together we nourish creativity and spread our love of all things fiber. Sarah, a regular Lunchtime Fiber Open Studios attendee, says it best, “I love SEFAA because I am surrounded by people interested in textiles and fabric. We have interesting discussions and it’s a supportive, non-confrontational environment. I enjoy the variety of workshops, and I have expanded my techniques and broadened my skills. There is a lot of diversity in the types of people that I meet through the organization.”

Like Sarah, your participation makes our community unique and vibrant, and your contributions support our wonderful fiber arts community. Please give generously today so that we can continue to grow classes, exhibitions, and events together in 2023! You can make a one-time donation or a recurring donation by clicking the blue "Donate Today" button, or you can volunteer or donate textile supplies/equipment by emailing. Every contribution helps!

Saving Ms Lizzie - Round Tuit

Poor Ms. Lizzie has been waiting since Spring for my dad to “get around to it” and repair the spokes and rebuild the wheel. I reminded him that I had purchased him a “Round Tuit” several years ago and that he has no excuses. He blamed it on his adult-onset-ADD and the change of season and hummingbirds and car races and ...  Read More!

Local Commission Opportunity!

North Decatur Presbyterian Church is looking for a fiber artist to design a set of new paraments for their mid-century modern sanctuary. Their green set of paraments for Ordinary Time on the liturgical calendar is the most worn and will be the first to be replaced. The set includes two textiles - one for the communion table and one for the lectern. The existing set is woven, so they would prefer the new set to utilize a different textile technique or techniques.
