Dear Dorchester Families,

I hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer, and I look forward to seeing you in person for our first day of school on Thursday, September 1. In the place of our typical summer mailing sent home by snail mail, please read the documents and to-do list below carefully for all necessary information for the 2022-2023 school year. 

Additionally, this year you will again be able to access your child’s class placement and teacher assignment via the PowerSchool Parent Portal beginning today. For instructions, please view this brief video: PowerSchool “Accessing Child’s Class Placement” Tutorial. Please note that the tutorial refers to the 2020-2021 school year. However, you should select the “22-23” school year to view current placements.

• Parent Faculty Association (PFA) Welcome Letter and Website

To Complete and Return By September 1

• Complete the Emergency Contact/Publication Permission Form (*Due by September 1; Only one submission per family, even if you have children at both Dorchester and WCMS*)

• Read the Dorchester Student and Parent “General” Handbook  and complete the Student and Parent Handbook Sign Off

         (*Due by September 1; One submission for each Dorchester child in your family*)

• Free and Reduced Lunch Information and Form

           (*Only for families who are eligible*)
