New Interactive Stop Motion Exhibition - Opening Sept 1
Museum of the Moving Image (LICP Member) will debut a new exhibit titled "Behind the Screen: Life in Stop Motion." The exhibit will allow visitors to make their own short animations using LAIKA characters.

Phantasia Opening Reception - Sept 3
Culture Lab LIC (LICP Member) hosts an opening reception for "Phantasia: The New Spanish Photography". The exhibition is curated by Orestes González and features perception-bending photography by Asunción Lozano, Antonio E. Ojeda, Francisco Uceda and Cristóbal C. Cassinello. On view September 3-25.

Last Chance to See Deana Lawson Exhibition - Through Sept 5
MoMA PS1 (LICP Member)'s Deana Lawson exhibition ends September 5. For more than 15 years, Lawson has explored challenging conventional representations of Black life through photography, drawing on a wide spectrum of photographic languages, including the family album, studio portraiture, staged tableaux, documentary pictures and appropriated images.

Hyperphantasia Opening Reception - Sept 10
Artego LLC (LICP Member) hosts an opening reception for "Hyperphantasia," a duo exhibition between YoAhn Han and
S. Dominick Lombardi. "Hyperphantasia" refers to the capability of experiencing vivid mental pictures. Together, they bring visions of the powerful and poetic, to the darkly comedic socio-political state.
