The 2024 CUNY Teaching and Learning Conference, an all-day event held at the Graduate Center on Friday, March 22, 2024, is a celebration of teaching excellence and a commitment to creating a thriving academic community. Our mission is to foster inter-campus collaborations and mentoring relationships related to teaching that will enhance the learning experience for our students. Additionally, the conference aims to cultivate a culture of professional growth at all stages of development and a stronger sense of belonging among CUNY faculty participants.
 
Proposals are accepted through December 11, 2023 via the conference webpage. Please share this information with your colleagues widely.

(C-IDEA) Conference

The University HR’s Office of Recruitment and Diversity (ORD) will be hosting its 2024 conference on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access (C-IDEA) on Thursday March 14, 2024 at the CUNY Graduate Center. The 2024 theme is Educating for Health Equity & Social Justice.

C-IDEA offers a multi-disciplinary approach to our challenges, recognizing that when we learn together and share practices, we learn best. On behalf of the Conference Planning Committee, we encourage you to submit a proposal. Details on the Call for Proposals can be found here. Please note that the submission deadline is January 12, 2024.

Conference registration will open at the beginning of the spring term. If you have questions regarding the conference, please contact the Conference Planning Committee via email at IDEA@cuny.edu.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Now Live in CUNYfirst
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) is now available in CUNYfirst!
 
Beginning today, eligible employees can submit PSLF certification requests directly through CUNYfirst Employee Self-Service (ESS) by following the instructions in the attached guide. 
 
Submitting requests through ESS will notify HR to review and verify your employment. Moving forward, employees are encouraged to submit PSLF requests through ESS. Although you are still able to work with HR in person to verify your employment for PSLF purposes, be advised that HR will input the request into CUNYfirst on your behalf.
 
If you have submitted any requests prior to today, you do not need to re-submit those requests.
