National Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Week Conference, September 20-23 Virtual and In-person, Washington D.C. Virtual Registration Free and Open to the Public

The Annual National Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Week Conference: Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity is planned under the leadership of the White House Initiative on HBCUs and with input from the President’s Board of Advisors on HBCUs and its conference sponsors. It provides a forum to exchange information and share innovations among and between institutions. Stakeholders, which include: federal agencies, private sector companies and philanthropic organizations, provide an overview of successful engagements that if replicated could improve instruction, degree completion and the understanding of federal policies that shape and support higher education.

White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities, US Department of Education. The Initiative is dedicated to a Government-wide policymaking effort to eliminate barriers HBCUs face in providing the highest-quality education to a growing number of students. The Initiative shall work closely with the Executive Office of the President on key Administration priorities related to advancing educational equity, excellence, and economic opportunity through HBCUs, in partnership with HBCU leaders, representatives, students, and alumni.


Thursday, September 22, 2022, during the 2022 National Annual HBCU Week Conference, the Initiative along with federal partners, national educational leaders, and corporate partners will host our 4th annual HBCU Week Career and Recruitment Fair. This will be a hybrid event, providing virtual and in-person opportunities, open to all National Annual HBCU well participants as well as the general public. This opportunity is free and open to all interested job seekers.
