This month, the Dean of Libraries reminds us to slow down and give thanks and gratitude for friends, family, colleagues—and of course—the Libraries. 


The Drexel Libraries is excited to celebrate 10 years of ScholarSip with its first in-person “food for thought” event since December 2019! Learn more about the Libraries’ plans for the 10th anniversary of the event series.

The Libraries is excited to resume its on-campus intellectual wellness program later this month by offering students, faculty and staff numerous activities that support intellectual wellness. Activities will be available in the W. W. Hagerty Library and include light therapy boxes, yoga and noise machines.


The new wellness table in W. W. Hagerty Library will be available starting Nov. 29, just in time for final exams.
As part of Open Access Week 2021, the Libraries hosted two panel discussions during which Drexel faculty, staff and students discussed their own Open Access projects and shared how open resources contribute to their success at Drexel and beyond.

Upcoming Events

The Drexel University Libraries & University Archives join WKDU in celebrating 50 years on the air as Drexel’s student-run radio station in this exhibit of artifacts, photographs and documents from the station’s decades of broadcasting.




The Drexel Libraries will close Nov. 24 - 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 27. Note: Queen Lane & Hahnemann Libraries will remain open on November 24.


Drexel Professor Franco Montalto, Director of the Sustainable Water Resource Engineering Lab, will kick off the 2021/2022 ScholarSip event series with a discussion on his work and research in sustainability and climate change. This event will be held both in-person and remotely via Zoom.



The Drexel Libraries will be closed Dec. 24, 2021 through Jan. 1, 2022. Wishing all our Drexel Dragons, friends and families a safe and happy New Year! See you back on campus in 2022.
