A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR TODD

Dear Saint Mark disciples,

Cara and I hope that each of you are doing well. We want to thank each of you very much for your kindness, love and support during my spiritual renewal leave. I am looking very forward to returning to the office on Tuesday, September 6 and seeing you all in worship the following Sunday.

I wanted to let you know that I tore my right shoulder rotator cuff on June 25 and had surgery to repair on Wednesday, August 24. Beginning rehabilitation immediately. Thank you very much for your prayers for recovery and we look forward to seeing everyone very soon.

God's blessings to all of you,

Pastor Todd and Cara

EPWORTH IS OUR MINISTRY!

Where do children go when DSS has taken them from their families because of abuse or neglect? Epworth is currently serving 354 children and families through their Residential and Independent Living programs, statewide Foster Care program, the Epworth Center for Counseling, the Early Intervention Center, and prevention services. Each of these children have found refuge in the ministry we share as United Methodists in SC. Epworth's Children's Home has been welcoming children in Christ's name for 126 years through the generous support of churches like ours! We will participate in the annual Work Day Offering on Sunday, September 11th to benefit the children who are served by Epworth. Please be in prayerful consideration of what God is calling you to give to this valuable and life changing ministry. For more information about Epworth Children's Home, visit www.epworthchildrenshome.org of find them on social media.

PASTOR APPRECIATION RECEPTION

Please join us this Sunday, August 28 as we honor and thank Pastor Bruce Sayre and Pastor Bob Stillwell for all they have done for Saint Mark this summer. (We are doing this one week early since their last Sunday is Labor Day weekend).

Our church has been truly blessed to have Bruce leading our worship services and assisting in various ways with planning for the fall. Bob has been amazing at visiting the sick and shut-ins and has brought comfort and peace to many Saint Mark disciples.

We will recognize them both at each service on August 28 and there will be a drop-in with cake and punch in the Atrium between the two services. Please plan to stop by the Atrium and thank each of them in person. You can also drop off cards of personal appreciation at either service or in the Atrium. We will look forward to honoring Bruce and Anne and Bob and Marion next Sunday.
