Reserve Your Lodging, and Submit Abstracts and Grant Applications Now for the VOS 2024 Conference!
Dear VOS Family,
Fall is here now, and the annual ACVS Summit is in the rear-view mirror. It is definitely time to start planning for VOS Lake Tahoe! Excitement is building, so dust off the skis, get out the cold weather gear and start conditioning those quads! Make sure to get your room reserved before the selection becomes limited.
The deadline for abstract submission for both podium and poster presentation and VOS research grant applications has been extended until November 1st , so there is still time to get one in! Please share your research and clinical studies with your peers — it makes us all better.
Your VOS Board met at the ACVS summit, and we are pleased to tell you that everything is on track for a great conference. Sponsorship commitment is ahead of our goal. Our sponsors and exhibitors are important to the VOS, so please thank them when you interact with them.

Several laboratories are being scheduled during the VOS conference — stay tuned for more information about those in upcoming communications.
Finally, if we can do anything to serve you better, please reach out to me or any board member.
Yours in service,
Randy Basinger, DVM, ACVS

Past President
There are several board positions available starting in March 2024 for the VOS board. Although it is a lot of work, it is also a lot of fun to be on the board. There are also awesome perks like free registration and a few free meals. Starting in 2024, the open board positions are President elect, Communications Chair, Assistant Program Chair which moves into Program Chair, Awards Chair, and Research Chair. We also have an opening on the Investment Committee which isn’t on the board, but is a great way to help out if you are interested in finance.
