Message from Pastor Carolyn

Dear Saint Mark Family,

This past Sunday you made a profound impact on the lives of many second and third graders. Because of your generosity over one hundred students will have the back-to-school supplies they need to begin their new school year. When the call was put out to meet the needs of the students, we were not sure what the response was going to be. By the end of day Sunday, we saw the outpouring of generosity. We collected one hundred and seven backpacks and countless school supplies. We prayed over them on Wednesday before they were picked up to be distributed.

Thank you for your generosity.

Sunday was also a great time of fellowship and food. Our “Barbecue on the Terrace” was a big hit. Members sitting, eating, and talking with each other, neighbors coming by and being fed, and good food being served, all made for a great time together.

Thanks to Eric Steverson, our Ministry Events Coordinator, for spearheading this opportunity, and to Luke Murphy for providing the music. It was a time well spent.
