This Saturday, June 4, 11 am, is Bruce Platt's Memorial Service. All are welcome. Our much-loved friend, and husband to our much-loved Linda Jo, served on South's Session and as a deacon, as treasurer, and for decades as the South Church attic sale second-in-command, and picnic master of games. He passed away from COVID-19 complications in April 2020. MORE.

Again and again and again. Are you sick of the gun violence that happens EVERY single day?
Join Moms Demand Action and bring attention to gun violence by gathering at Nyack Memorial Park and watching the TZ/Mario Cuomo Bridge light up orange in commemoration of Wear Orange weekend. We will be hearing from survivors and coming together in memory of all of the victims of gun violence.
Bring a picnic dinner, chairs, a blanket, etc. and wear orange!

A group of Days of Wonder students took a tour of the compost bins behind South Church recently. The visit was a step towards Roots & Wings' goal of encouraging all groups that use South Church's campus to compost their food scraps, rather than add them to the waste stream. MORE

South Church has an immediate need for a teen intern to assist in the Sunday morning streaming of its church service on Facebook Live, plus YouTube, Facebook and other responsibilities. Training begins mid-June. Payment / $30 per week. Send email indicating interest to Office@Southpres.org
