GOLD REPRESENTS PURITY

I see gold in scripture as the representative of purity. When Solomon built the temple, everything in it was made of pure gold. The altar, candlesticks, shewbred table, bowls, basons, and even the hinges for the doors were gold. (1 Kings 7:48-50.) Even the streets of heaven are made of pure gold.

When we as believers face eternity and the Bema Seat of judgment, our works on earth will be judged for reward. Works done with a pure heart will be considered to be as good as gold and works from an impure motive will be burned as hay, wood, and stubble.

Gold is considered to be the ultimate form of monetary exchange on earth. It is used extensively in fine jewelry.

When we say that a person has a heart of gold, that is the ultimate compliment to their character.

If our works at the judgment seat of Christ [the Bema Seat] are determined to be as pure as gold and silver because we did them out of a pure heart, then we will be given the highest of heaven’s rewards.  

When my works on earth are judged, I pray that they will come out of the judgment fire as pure gold  or silver would be tried in a smelter’s fire. Then I will live in the joys of my Lord for all eternity.

May my heart and yours always be pure and true like gold before the Lord.

DISCIPLESHIP

Jesus called twelve men to follow him. Others followed also, but these twelve spent many hours in his presence learning from him. They travelled with him, ate with him, ministered with him, and were prepared by him to be his followers. We often call them the twelve disciples.

Just what does disciple mean? The word disciple means a learner, a pupil. This means that they are willing to change what they think they know to learn what is the real truth. 

The twelve were with Jesus three and a half years, asking many questions, and observing him in his ministry to others. Much of what he taught they did not understand. They thought he was going to set up an earthly kingdom then, but that wasn’t Jesus’ plan.

Sitting under the right teachers can make all the difference in the world. A pastor can lead a congregation, but without spiritual insight, the sheep in that congregation are often led astray and starve. The pastor, or shepherd must sit at the feet of Jesus and be taught himself in order to teach others.

Discipleship put simply is learning to be more like Jesus. It took three and a half years for Jesus’ instructing his disciples before Pentecost, and he often had to rebuke them for not having faith. They were listening but not hearing. They had an agenda, but his was different. After Pentecost everything changed. They remembered the things he taught, and their understanding of spiritual things was enlightened. The discipleship training had paid off! 

If you recall, on the day of the resurrection there were two disciples on the Road to Emmaus. Jesus joined them and quoted scripture to them, but they had no idea who he was, until he opened their eyes of understanding. Luke 24:31 says, “And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, ‘Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?’”

The apostle Paul, a religious leader, a Pharisee, received salvation and was taught for three years by revelation from God and learned the truth about Jesus. [Galatians 1:15-18.] He had to “unlearn” what he had been taught as the traditions of men to know the “truth” of God.

We each need to pray that God opens our eyes of understanding and be willing to learn through those that have already been discipled. This will enable the body of Christ to mature and be what Jesus has called it to be. Disciples – disciplined ones, willing to learn.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

When God gives you a word, often we must be like Mary and hide it in our heart. There are those that would destroy the plan if you share it with them. When the right time to deliver that word comes, you will have peace from God and a green light. Until then, stay at the red light, waiting patiently for it to materialize. Timing is so important.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Someone needs to hear that the devil nor any of his helpers can stop what God is doing in your life. Just know that you’ve entered into a brand new season for which you have so patiently awaited. In fact it’s been obvious that others were rudely jumping ahead of you and passing you right on by. However, you just sat back, kept the faith and you simply waited for your turn…AGAIN. Oh, but wow just look at you now. Yes, indeed the tides are turning on your behalf; And the good news is this time no one can stop the hands or the plans of God from working in you, through you and for you. Just look around you for the seasons have changed and so have you. Now you can be getting your happy shoes on; As the time has come for you to get ready to give God some really crazy praise. I guess you know that means not only are the tides now turning towards you; But God is also turning your sadness to joy, your tears to laughter, your times of defeat to days of victory, your times of sickness and pain into your needed healing and much gain...And He is turning all those messes into genuine miracles. Yes, the tides are finally turning and it’s payback time and payday for you. So are you ready to walk it out? Then you get yourself on up and get going. I pray God keep you and protect you for every one of His continued blessings are now chasing you down in Jesus Name

From Moron to the Savior HCC

           Our God gives songs to the birds.

           He tells the mountains how high.

           He selects certain people to make a difference.

           One of them, Mike Evans,

           Who was called moron, by his father, yes for all his life.

           So many trials growing up.

           But who would think his destiny would be 

           A connection to the Savior.

           Our God wanted Mike to make a difference

           For all humanity. The Jerusalem Prayer Team came to be

           For the lost, the lonely, the hungry and the dying.

           This moron, this Mike, his life all planned out.

           He was hooked to the Savior without any doubt.

           A beautiful family Mike has

           And now a son Michael is there. He is in the Ukraine,

           In War, helping the desolate, the sick,

           The hungry, the dying. Making a difference,

           And he came from a moron. What a Savior!
