We are writing to offer you further grassroots and frontline fundraising initiatives and options in the wake of Hurricane María based here at our Center, and with our partners.
The Loisaida Inc., Center has partnered with Teatro LaTEA to present AbrazARTE, proudly showcasing local and international artists who love Puerto Rico and its people.
Please join us on Saturday to raise funds by those gravely affected. We will present an art auction, theater, poetry, and music, w
ith ongoing projections of performances from the Puerto Rican Diaspora from all over the world. More information below.
Furthermore, our Center is accepting fulfillments by the Eco Kit Duffle initiative. Various of our community artists have collaborated extensively with eco-concious nonprofit organizations, journalists and media to assess the needs. In the wake of the Hurricane, it is vital that supplies for recovery are zero-waste and ecologically sustainable given the deteriorated infrastructure.

in solidarity with the evento Verde Luz artistic movement.
The event consists of an exhibit/art auction, theater, poetry, and music, live-streamed by El Diario newspaper.
Complementary food & drink by Port Morris Distillery from 6-7
pm.
We are partnering with Eco Kit Puerto Rico, an ecological platform for responsible relief donations that respond to the island's geography, weather conditions, contamination, waste management , and infrastructure. Funds will be added to the DonatePuertoRico.com which ensures us that 100% of ALL donations will go directly to victims of this hurricane and the legitimate grassroots efforts and organizations we have identified.

Eco Kit Puerto Rico offers an itemized list and
pre-assembled kits. It serves as a guide and
starting point for organizations, communities,
families and individuals to optimize resiliency
and living conditions.
It aims to mitigate the ecological hazards of the
many relief donations that will end up as garbage
by providing alternative solutions and empowering
options.
This initiative is led by a group of Puerto Rican artists in New York who have
conducted an assessment of needs with the journalistic and communication community on the ground in the wake of Hurricane María.

 If you are unable to do any of the above, consider making even a small donation to our fund. As we have expressed,
we will ensure that 100% of ALL donations will go directly to the victims of this hurricane.
