Dear Rondout Families, Faculty and Friends,
Just a few quick notes to share this week. The Spirit Wear Sale ends tonight at midnight. Hope you got your orders in if you wanted to add to your family’s spirit wear collection. The Finance Department of the Village did a great job in putting together the sale and managing the process.
We would like to thank everyone who worked on the garden this year. We produced hundreds of pounds of produce that was donated to the North Chicago Community Partners Care Closet and which enriched our lunch program. We will be making our last produce donation next week with the final brussel sprout harvest.
Our green space is thriving and we are expanding our green space work to include interested parents and guardians. We will be hosting our first meeting in January with a date to be determined. Please email the main office if you are interested in joining the Green Space Task Force to be part of planning for Rondout’ s green space and related programs and activities.
This Green Space Task Force will be discussing all of our green spaces including the edible garden, bird, bee and butterfly garden, the prairie sampler gardens, the turtle pond, the chickens and the Nature preserve. We will also have a sign up at parent conferences as well as more specifics about the date of the first meeting in January. We look forward to your participation.
Don’t forget tomorrow’s Veteran’s Day Assembly at 9 a.m. Parents are welcome to join us for this Rondout tradition. Have a great weekend and take care. Until next time...
