THIS SUNDAY AT WAYNE CHURCH

This Sunday when we gather, we’ll continue to sing the songs of Easter, hear the choir sing, share communion, and continue a series of talks on Methodism. What do we mean when we say that we’re a United Methodist Community? This is who we are as a people. This Sunday, we’ll get into the method of Methodism with our third general rule: Do Life with God. What are the practices that help us to cultivate a relationship with God? Join us as we talk about it.

Join us in-person or online at 10:30am!

A HISTORIC CONFERENCE!

The United Methodist General Conference has concluded, and it’s been historic. Pastor Greg will share a brief update during this Sunday’s service and then take questions with the leadership team after the service for any who care to remain in the sanctuary. Miss Christine and the childcare staff will keep kids in their rooms until 11:45 to allow our younger families the ability to attend this Q&A too. For those who wish to hear from others, there’s a lot of information out there, but we recommend United Methodist sources, such as District Conference this Sunday at 3pm at Hopewell UMC, Downingtown. We can’t wait to share more together!

WE DID GOOD!

Kudos to the Wayne Church Family for hosting our 1st blood drive on April 4th!

The support & donations were outstanding and 29 units were collected which, will enrich the lives of others! We apologize that some of you were unable to donate, the Red Cross was not prepared for the amount of people dedicated to serve others!  Way to go!

FOOD PANTRY UPDATE

April was a noteworthy month as we welcome to Anna Jackson and Courtney Wurth as new Wayne Cares board members! The food pantry traffic for the 4 weeks in April was 43, 68, 51 and 64. Surrey took 23 and 21 bags in the 2nd and 4th weeks and YoungLives took 10 bags. Our totals are 226 for April and 910 YTD. We're up about 5% from last years YTD of 867. We continue to send a short email weekly to our patrons highlighting featured items available that week. Thanks to all for the ongoing support.
