Our Worship in Song

Opening Hymn:  Lead On Eternal Sovereign At Andover Seminary, fellow students asked Ernest W. Shurtleff to write a hymn for their graduation. This is the result. Shurtleff became a Congregational minister and in his last years established churches in Europe and did relief work during WWI.

Middle Hymn: Let Justice Flow Like Streams This is one of two hymns Jane Parker Huber wrote for special events emphasizing economic justice for women at the time of the reunification of two Presbyterian denominations in 1983. The text's brevity underscores the urgency of Amos' pronouncements against injustice.

Anthem: Offertory by John Ness Beck and based on Micah 6:8

Communion Anthem: I Place My Trust In You edited and arranged by by Allen Robert Petker and based on "Adagio molto" from Sinfonia in B minor by Antonio Vivaldi.

Closing Hymn: Come to Tend God's Garden John Dalles is the author of more than 200 hymn texts. This one was written for the 27th anniversary of the Synod of the Trinity in Pennsylvania.
