SPOTLIGHT

Staff Appreciation Week

Staff Appreciation Week is this week, May 6th-10th, and we are so excited to help make this an "Eras" week to remember for our dedicated staff!

LAST CHANCE! Show some love by SIGNING UP to either make or buy a treat for our staff.

Since Middle School doesn't have Room Parents, HVPTO has you covered with our Middle School Class Fund. Your generous donations to the Fund this year will be used to get all of our Middle School staff gifts during Staff Appreciation Week. Still need to donate? Visit the HVPTO Store. Want to check if you have donated? Ask store@hvpto.com.

Parking Lot Fundraiser Volunteer

Can you help us for TWO HOURS? The Memorial Day Parking Lot fundraiser is in need of volunteers! Help raise an easy $12,000 for our schools! During each two hour shift, you will collect money and direct cars to open spots in the Valley School parking lots. Middle school students who volunteer with a parent for 2 hours will earn 4 service points. SIGN-UP HERE

Also, we are in need of one Day Chair to oversee one day of the weekend. The Day Chair's responsibilities are to set up signage at the beginning of the day, ensure a smooth transition between each shift, count all cash at the end of the day and put away signage. The Day Chair does not need to be there during shifts since the shift volunteers handle the parking. It's an easy job and no previous parking lot experience is necessary. Can you help out so that we don't have to close the parking lot one day and lose out on $4,000? Reach out to Jo and Carrie at volunteers@hvpto.com to learn more.

It took a village and then some to put on the Dolphin Dash. We would like to give a SPECIAL THANK YOU to all the VOLUNTEERS that helped make it such a fun day. The Dolphin Dash Committee, led by our super duo Katie Ball and Lindsay Jaime at View & Vista put in a HUGE effort! Many thanks to Wendy Zachary, Katiana Bozzi, and Denise Donahoe our Valley event Chairs. Thank you to their team of Nicole Ellison, Jenn Massey, Laura Harris, Deni Lampe Mileski, Kate Mosier, Beth Tonne, Meegan Kenney, Tommy Ball, Jani Lange, Michelle Smith, Spencer Hill, Kathryn Davis

and Jo Fish. Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out to support the day of the event...we could not have done it without you!

Lastly, thank you to Principal Overbeck and Vice Principal Montoya for getting pied in the face 3x each by our highest fundraisers in each grade at View & Vista!

Pickleball Anyone?

Has the Pickleball craze recently come to your Vista student? If so, that's because HVPTO recently purchased Pickleball nets, paddles, balls and a storage cart for students to use during P.E. and recess! Not only is Pickleball fun, it develops motor skills and movement patterns that are part of Elementary School Physical Education standards. So if your child comes home and challenges you to a game of Pickleball, you've been warned.
