Hello Everyone,
I am going to keep this month’s note on the short side. I hope that as you read this you have a good cup of coffee (or tea) and your calendar handy because a lot is going on during the next couple of months. It is time to log on, register for CSWC events, and then unplug and get out there!
There are TWO ways you can support CSWC in May:
WIN A KAYAK PACKAGE! Anyone who becomes a monthly donor (minimum of $10) by May 18th will be entered into a raffle to win a kayak package that includes a kayak, paddle, PFD, kayak cart, and hanger! Every monthly donation to CSWC allows us to have a steady stream of income, helping to support the organization and enables us to continue providing free programming throughout the watershed!
SLOUGH CELEBRATION - please RSVP and attend our Annual Slough Celebration on May 18th from 2 PM - 6 PM! Join us for a family-friendly afternoon of celebration, community and adventure that will include paddling, birding, stewardship, outdoor education, free food, free drinks, music, a raffle, and more! When you come please find me and tell me your favorite place in the Slough!
In all the ways you do it, thank you all so much for supporting CSWC!

CSWC Biking Big Day Fundraiser!
|
|
On May 6th, our intrepid bird walk leaders, Ryan Gilpin and Thomas Meinzen, will be embarking on their third annual Biking Big Day to raise funds for conservation and support the Columbia Slough Watershed Council's free bird walk program.
|
|
Ryan and Thomas will spend all day looking for as many bird species as they can find by bicycle in the Columbia Slough watershed.
They invite you to pledge an amount for each bird species they find in one day in the watershed (or to donate a flat amount).
All pledged donations will go directly to the Council to support habitat restoration, conservation, and the Council's free outdoor programs. Read more here!
