The Horizon League is looking for volunteer clubs and teams to help as buddies with the Fall Horizon Baseball League.  Buddies are a vital part of the success of the Horizon League. Each Horizon League player is assigned a buddy for each game. The buddy is there to protect the player from balls, and assist the player with batting and running the bases.  The Horizon Baseball League provides children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in organized sports. 

Games last 50 minutes, and we ask volunteers to come 10 minutes before their game time to meet the team and get paired up with an athlete.  Games are non-competitive, and rules consist of all athletes getting a turn to bat, no outs, and the last batter getting a home run.  Open volunteer opportunities are listed in the google document (the link can be found below). If you see a game that works best for your group, please reserve it by putting your email address down as the contact. As the group contact, you will receive a volunteer reminder a week before your scheduled game.  

We ask volunteer groups to bring 10-12 volunteers. If you have less or more please contact me directly.   Any help is greatly appreciated!!  Please let me know if you have any questions.
