President's Message

Dear Colleagues,

We've just wrapped up one of the year's highlights—the HFMA/EWHC Indiana Pressler Memorial Women Lead HERe leadership conference!

With a theme centered around "trailblazing," our lineup of speakers ignited empowerment, self-confidence, and belief in overcoming obstacles to pursue their life's work.

Up next, we'll embrace the sunshine and spring weather and head outdoors for our Women & Golf Networking event at Plum Creek Golf Course! Mark your calendars for May 15th and join us for a day filled with networking, golf, and fun as we bring together women from every corner of the healthcare industry.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, the event offers the perfect opportunity to forge new connections and expand your professional circle.

A heartfelt thank you for your unwavering dedication to the healthcare industry and EWHC. I can't wait to catch up with you soon!

All the best,

Emily D. Tisdale (she/her)

With 15 hospitals, more than 300 primary care and specialty offices, and 38,000 employees statewide, Indiana University Health is one of the busiest hospital systems in the U.S. and consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

Each year, the healthcare system cares for more than 1 million of the state’s residents, a fact that IU Health sees as an extraordinary opportunity – indeed a responsibility – to lead toward its stated goal of making Indiana one of the healthiest states in the nation. It pursues this goal not simply by treating Hoosiers who are ill or injured but by complementing world-class care with attention to social determinants of health in Indiana communities. The healthcare system’s unique partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine – one of the nation's leading medical schools – gives IU Health’s highly skilled physicians access to innovative treatments using the latest research and technology.

Recognizing the current health landscape, it is our mission to improve Indiana’s overall health, which currently ranks 35th among all states. With this mission in mind, IU Health prioritizes five pillars of community-based initiatives with the goal to decrease health inequality across our state.
