The Peace

The exchange of the peace is a moment of connection, a visible and tangible remembrance that we do not worship alone. It can also be a time of reconciliation with God or neighbor. Too often we consider the exchange of peace as “intermission” in the service or a time to socialize with friends, but there is a deeper meaning to this part of the liturgy. As we transition from the word to the table in the service we share the peace of God with each other, a sign of reconciliation. We are also preparing our hearts for the Eucharist. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

THIS SUNDAY

We will have Fr. Darius Sudayi for this Sunday’s service, celebrating Holy Eucharist Rite II.

SNICK will meet afterwards for lunch and then head

over to Oakhurst Pumpkin Farm at 1pm.

The Adult Forum series on Fear, will meet after the

service led by Bob.

We look forward to seeing everyone here.

Christian Valley will come to St. Nicholas on Sunday, the 5th of November. Rev. Eric Seldon will give the homily and Rev. Sandra McCann will be the celebrant. We will host a potluck lunch afterwards so please signup on the form in the narthex.

Please sign up, form is in the narthex, for Trunk-or-Treat which will be on the evening of Halloween, 5:30 to 7:30pm. We are hoping to have a big turnout for this event.
