TUNNEL CLOSURE, TWO-WAY BRIDGE TRAFFIC

SCHEDULED FRIDAY EVENING

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces a traffic shift scheduled to occur overnight this Friday, October 20, 2023.

This work will begin at 8PM 10/20/23 and will end by 12PM (noon) 10/21/23. During this time, the Belle Chasse Tunnel will be closed and two-way traffic will be directed onto the Belle Chasse Bridge. Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's staff will be on site to assist.

These adjustments are necessary to facilitate concrete deck placements on the northside of the project.
