Presbytery Staff To Help Congregations Navigate Coming Benefits Changes
In 2025, the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (USA) will be rolling out new benefits plans with changes that will impact healthcare options. Presbytery staff are committed to providing you with all the necessary resources and support to navigate this transition. We look forward to walking together in faith and fellowship as we embrace these new opportunities for care and support.
At its April meeting, the presbytery’s Commission on Ministry welcomed a new minister member. Lauren Voyles transferred into POJ from Coastal Carolina. Lauren is originally from southern Tennessee and is a lifelong Presbyterian. After serving as an immigration organizer with Presbyterian World Mission, Lauren began seminary at Union Presbyterian Seminary in 2014.
|
There, she discerned her call to chaplaincy. Since 2019, Lauren has served hospice agencies in North Carolina, and recently returned to Richmond to serve as a hospice chaplain with Bon Secours Mercy Health. When not working, Lauren loves being with her three beagles, spending time with her husband and finding new coffee somewhere.

It will be held May 23, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Good Shepherd Baptist Church (2223 S Crater Road) in Petersburg. Another session will occur in September.
