Information Needed for the Presbytery's New Website

Your Church Can Help!

A new feature on the presbytery's website is a list of Assistance Resources. This is information for those seeking assistance with rent, groceries, utility payments, etc. The office of the Presbytery of New Hope often receives calls and emails from our neighbors seeking aid. As a Matthew 25 presbytery we are striving to be more responsive and better equipped in our responses to these requests.

If your congregation provides financial assistance, food donations, a food pantry, medical aid, or other forms of support, would you be willing to have this information listed on the presbytery's website? Or do you know a community agency or partner that could be of help to those seeking assistance with life's expenses?

Please email kcashwell@nhpresbytery.org with the name, contact information, and website URL of any agencies, partners, funds, or programs that we can include on our website resource list. This is to be a presbytery-wide list and is intended to serve community members across all thirty-four counties in our presbytery.

Church Technology Survey

Help New Hope Grow Its Digital Ministry!

The office of the Presbytery of New Hope is frequently asked for recommendations on a variety of technology services, especially for our small churches. We are interested in building lists of suggested resources and contacts so that we can better assist the small churches within our presbytery. Please consider participating in the survey below and share your church's technology vendors and services. Your responses will allow us to advise, resource, and equip our small churches.

Thank you for your willingness to be a part of the connectional church and support your sibling churches in this way!

Small Is Beautiful: Cultivating Vibrant Communities in the PC(USA)

This past January, the Presbyterian Outlook published a magazine dedicated to small church vitality. On April 16, Editor/Publisher Teri McDowell Ott convened a panel of voices from that “Small is Beautiful” issue.

Together, the panel discussed some of the troubles facing small churches, the strengths of these worshipping communities, and practical examples of small churches thinking in creative ways to continue their ministry. The office of the associate presbyter for small churches commends this webinar. You can access a recording of the webinar here.

If the cost of purchasing access to the webinar creates a financial hardship for you, please contact kcashwell@nhpresbytery.org for assistance
