Happy Wellness Month!

As the New Year begins, people set goals and make commitments to do better in the New Year. When we say commitments, we often just think about our physical being and not too much on our mental well-being. These goals are admirable; nevertheless, I would like to challenge you this month and the rest of the year to take a breath, remain calm, and lean into empathy, happiness, compassion, understanding, patience, and tolerance. Allow these feelings to manifest into a smile or a burst of laughter. You never know, that smile or laugh can be contagious. Try it! I told you!

- Belle Reynoso, Library Director

NEW at the Lake Wales Public Library, our vending machine is up and running just outside Lake Wales’ City Hall entrance.

The book vending machine features new and selected titles for Adults and Children. We also have a great selection of DVDs and are working on some neat updates for February!

Thanks again to library staff for creating such a wonderful design for the machine (Kristina, Angie, and Sydney).*
