Tall Ship, Nao Trinidad Tours 

Nov. 9-19, 10-7pm

Somers Cove Marina

The Nao Victoria Foundation, a Spanish non-profit foundation, member of the STA-E (Sail Training Association – Spain), that handles replicas of historical ships that sail around the world as sailing museums in order to promote and educate our maritime heritage will be stopping in Crisfield!  One of these ships is the Nao Trinidad, a full-scale sailing replica of Magellan's flagship on his expedition that led to the first circumnavigation of the Earth, considered the greatest maritime achievement and the first confirmation that the world is round. The ship arrives Nov. 6, with tours beginning November 9 and ending November 19.  A farewell parade on Nov. 20 at the City Dock is also being planned.  Tours are daily 10-7pm. Come out and see a once in a lifetime experience!



Microcontrollers Corbin Workshop (Free to Veterans)

Building Projects with Microcontrollers gives the information, with practice, for individuals to use inexpensive microcontrollers to build useful projects. Participants will learn how to program the easy-to-use, free software, and will be introduced to elementary electronics which will provide a window into electronics and programming. This annual family friendly event that kicks off our Christmas here in Crisfield with the official lighting of the crab pot holiday tree.  There will be live music, dancing, vendors, horse drawn carriage rides and lots of merriment!

Nov. 28 online all day (especially 3-4pm for a chance to win $1000!) and in person for a cake walk at the Corbin Studio & Gallery from 3-4pm. Plein Air Crisfield

What is Plein Air you ask? En plein air, or plein-air painting, is the act of painting outdoors. This method contrasts with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look.

There will be decorated and lit up boats going from Somers Cove to Tawes Nursing Home and back. Come watch at various points--Somers Cove Marina, City Dock, Wellington Beach and the Legion. There will be holiday music, food and drink specials and holiday shopping around the City Dock. Want more? You're invited to an after party at the Legion for members and guests.
