hello spring goodbye winter

Quarterly News

Update

Greetings FCS Members,

Spring is a time for new beginnings and transformations — it’s a season during the school year where students become a bit restless; they are eager for the school year to end and summer to begin. Teachers continue to move through curriculum, sometimes at lightening speed, to ensure students receive the full-breadth of knowledge needed to move onto the next course. FCCLA State Leadership conferences have taken place, along with many other CTSOs, and advisers are making plans to attend the National Leadership Conference. Classes for the 2023–24 school year may be set and the thought of planning is lurking on the minds of teachers before the last bell rings of the school year release students into the sunshine for the summer. As you near the end of the school year, I hope you have had time to look back and celebrate what you have accomplished for the year and where you are going.

Like many of you, I will spend time this summer preparing for the new school year, spending time with family and friends, and of course, representing our FCS Division members at a variety of conferences. I hope to see many familiar and new faces at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, Teach CTE Summit, and the annual Colorado ACTE Conference.

ACTE continues to provide a lot of “bang for your buck,” and I encourage each of you to invite a CTE educator or administrator in your school to join the organization. Please take time to read through the information supplied in this newsletter as it is packed with resources to help you in and out of the school building.

Have a wonderful rest of your school year!
