Small Business Financing Panel & Networking Event
On October 18th, the Pace SBDC partnered with the Small Business Administration's New York District Office to host a Small Business Financing and Networking session. Andrew Flamm, Regional Director of the Pace SBDC, gave opening remarks to the more than 100 small business owners in attendance and introduced Beth Goldberg, the SBA's Director of Field Ecosystems, who moderated two panel discussions with speakers from banks as well as community-based lending institutions. We thank the twelve participating lenders including event sponsors Lendistry, TruFund, and Flushing Bank for helping us provide this exceptional resource, and look forward to the next one. Find out more about the event here and schedule an in-person or Zoom session with a business advisor.
Intern Alumni Spotlight
Every year, we staff Pace SBDC intern roles with talented undergrad and master's students from Pace University's Lubin School of Business. Our interns have assisted with everything from welcoming new clients and scheduling advisor sessions to organizing data, developing social posts, adding new content to our website, and more. Our bright, professional-minded interns have graduated and gone on to find fantastic jobs in the corporate world and here with us. We've asked them to provide updates, explain how their internships helped, and give thoughts about their current roles. Learn what our past interns are doing now.
Our Website en Español
Our center is committed to providing all of our services in Spanish, including one-to-one guidance with a bilingual business advisor as well as our newly-developed, Spanish-version website. Spanish-speaking small businesses can access our Contacto page to request a meeting with a business advisor, and can find Success Stories written in Spanish about other Spanish- and English-speaking business owners who achieved their business goals with our help. Check out our website in Spanish. Vea nuestro sitio web en español.

ilibrium
Entrepreneur Andrew Hirsch, a startup attorney and IP consultant, received market research assistance from his Pace SBDC business advisor for tech venture ilibrium which used the data to update its pitch deck. It also hired Pace student interns and eventually hired one full time. Read ilibrium's success story here.
Crowdfunding-Certified Advisor
We're proudly cheering for our colleague, Joe Peterson, who recently achieved Crowdfunding certification with the CrowdfundBetter program. Joe trained with the group over the course of several months to learn the ropes of crowdfunding so he can guide interested entrepreneurs through an optimal funding campaign process, from A to Z. There are many special-interest crowdfunding sites, including those for new tech, artists, and musicians. Read about crowdfunding here and schedule a meeting with Joe to learn how to crowdfund your business expansion or new ideas.
