This Lent, set aside time each Friday to come, pray, and find strength. All are welcome.

Bible (and Book) Study: The Difficult Words of Jesus

How do we make sense of Jesus' most perplexing words? Join Mother Amanda for a six-session Bible study through the book, "The Difficult Words of Jesus: A Beginner's Guide to His Most Perplexing Teachings," by Amy-Jill Levine. We will engage with Scripture, watch short video teachings from the author, and reflect on what these challenging sayings mean to us today.

Each session will meet on Zoom on Mondays, 5:30-7:00pm. Attend one session, or even better, attend all six! This Bible Study is only being offered synchronously (no recording) because conversation is key.

  • February 24, 5:30pm, Sell What You Own
  • March 3, 5:30pm, Hate Father and Mother
  • March 10, 5:30pm, Slave of All
  • March 17, 5:30pm, Nowhere Among the Gentiles
  • No session over CU's spring break!
  • March 31, 5:30pm, Outer Darkness
  • April 7, 5:30pm, Your Father, the Devil

You're encouraged to read the book chapter (about 12 pages a week) before the session, but no pre-reading is required. Have your Bible with you and a willingness to wrestle with the hard things Jesus said together.

If purchasing the book is a challenge, please email Mother Amanda. We have a few copies available in the church office to ensure everyone can participate.

Book Group meets every Wednesday at 10am on Zoom

St. Aidan's book group will begin reading Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin this Wednesday, February 26. The English translation from the Russian in verse by Jame Falen, Oxford World’s Classics edition, is recommended.

You are welcome to join the group and begin this book together. Email us to let us know you're interested, and we'll get you connected with the group and the Zoom link.

St. Aidan's is joining with the Bread+Belonging student dinner on Tuesday, March 4, at 6pm to celebrate Mardi Gras! Get to know our regular students involved in campus ministry. They're a delight! St. Aidan's congregation is providing dinner to about 30 students, so we need your commitment to bring something - something cheesy, something vegetarian, something vegan, some dessert!

Tell us you're bringing a dish to the Mardi Gras potluck!

Creation Care Survey 2025
