Historically, barriers to outdoor spaces and the environment have affected BIPOC. Emerging research illustrates a key theme:  at the intersection of eliminating those barriers and early childhood development lies opportunities for collective healing and familial wellness.  Start at Zero is humbled to be among those leading nature-based play efforts in KC.  Our upcoming weekend camping experience with Camp Wood YMCA is scheduled for October 1-2, and it's shaping up to be a fun-filled opportunity for BIPOC children and families!
