National Foster a Pet Month
We’re teaming up with Petco Love to put the fun in fostering for #NationalFosterAPetMonth!
 
From a few days to a couple of weeks, there is a fostering opportunity for you! The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County has 292 kittens and 19 dogs in foster, with more in need of temporary homes every day. So we want to know, are you DTF - down to foster?
Foster Open House
Join our Foster Open House and learn what it means to be a lifesaving foster pet parent. You’ll hear from some of our experienced foster heroes and get to know the animals in need of a temporary place to stay. Plus, you’ll get to take home some amazing foster swag thanks to Petco Love!
 
Our open house will be on Monday, June 27 at 3:00 – 6:00 pm at our shelter location – 2608 Center St. Tacoma, WA 98409

Meet one of the shelter's foster parents, Diana Sharon! Diana is currently fostering a sweet shelter dog and loves seeing her personality shine in their home.

Auction Items Needed
Do you have unused gift cards, nice bottles of wine or liquor, new home electronics or decor, or unique, one-of-a-kind items at home? Do you have a family member with a cabin rental or a connection for free concert tickets? If yes, consider donating an item or special experience to support our shelter pets! This year's Raise Your Paw online auction will be held on October 19 - 28, and all funds raised will directly benefit the animals and families we serve.
