WELCOME TIM & MARILYN!

(Tim & Marilyn joined Grace in December)

Tim and Marilyn Sitts moved to Fort Mill in April of 2024. They lived in Fairfax VA just outside of DC. They have 3 adult children whom they raised in the same house and neighborhood for 38 years. They were long time members of Lord of Life Lutheran in Fairfax.

The Sitts moved here to Fort Mill and Baxter Village to be close to their middle son, Adam, and his family: wife, Kacie, almost 4yo son, Clay, and 1yo daughter, Finley. They now live a block away (500 feet) from them.  Much of their time is spent with the grandkids. Their oldest son, Alex, lives in NJ with his wife and 2yo daughter, and their youngest daughter, Amy, lives in Boston and recently married.

Professionally, Tim is a psychiatrist, and Marilyn is a Clinical Social Worker. They both still work part-time, providing treatment by way of telehealth.

They own a condo in Naples, Florida and are spending several weeks there this winter. Less this year, as they don’t want to be away from the grandkids for too long!

Tim and Marilyn enjoy going to the YMCA several times a week. They both enjoy live theater so they have season tickets to the Fort Mill and Rock Hill Community Playhouse. They haven’t ventured into Charlotte for theater yet.

Be sure to welcome Tim & Marilyn next time you see them!

Family Promise is back at Grace March 9-16, 2025!

We will welcome families into our building for a week, providing a safe home and good meals as they work to get back on their feet.

If you'd like to serve in this ministry, there are many ways to take part! We need setup help, dinner hosts, evening company, overnight hosts, and reset help.

10 things you should know about WELCM!

  • Students are very, very grateful for the safe space, authentic community, and holy hospitality provided by the members of Grace via the WELCM campus ministry.
  • The meals for the Tuesday gatherings provided by members of Grace are greatly appreciated and rated very highly (“triple yummy”).
  • Meals do not necessarily have to be home cooked, if you are not a cook.
  • Pizza, tacos, or fried chicken from local establishments are also appreciated. (Vegetarian options are appreciated. Two students cannot eat meat.)
  • Two or more households can team up to either cook or sponsor a Tuesday meal.
  • Sponsoring a meal is as easy as deciding on an amount to be donated and then conveying that to the campus minister, Pastor Hahn, at CM@WELCM.org or (803) 324-5295. He will take care of the rest.
  • Providing a meal is an easy way to share the love of God in a practical way.
  • If you would like to sign up for an open date, please click HERE.
  • Including the campus ministry and the students in your prayers is a wonderful means of providing spiritual support.
  • You are invited to participate in the WELCM Evening Prayer, Sundays at 7 PM.

God’s Peace,

Pastor Hahn

Taking Part in Sunday Hospitality

If you’ve ever wondered about what’s involved in hosting hospitality, please read on!

Hospitality (the ‘coffee hour’ between services) is simple and a great way to take part in the fellowship ministry of Grace.

The Parish Life Committee has created an easy "How To" for anyone interested in hosting hospitality! This How To includes details and people to contact for help.

Please click HERE to learn about Hospitality, and sign up to host in the Fellowship Hall!
