Discipleship Confirmation Sunday
This Sunday we have the special privilege of celebrating five youth who have completed their Discipleship Confirmation Journey. Use the link below to leave a note of encouragement for Austin Gillen, Isaiah Gillen, Leif Torkelson, Josephine Johnson, and/or Santiago Jacques.
Covenant Pines Campers
The summer is wrapping up and all 14 of our Covenant Pines Campers have completed their visits. Special thank you to everyone who adopted a camper and sent a note of encouragement. We know that camp is a wonderful place and often serves as a catalyst for significant spiritual growth. And from the pictures it also looks like there was a lot of swimming, tie-dying, games, and general shenanigans.
We also want to give a shout out to Anna Larson, who is completing her second year serving as a counselor. Thank you, Anna!
Covenant Pines Ministry Center Update- Aug 15 @ 7:00pm
Crosstown and Bethlehem Covenant Church are teaming up for an event. August 15 we will be hosting Covenant Pines staff for a coffee and dessert gathering. We have extended an invitation to ten other churches. During this time we will have the opportunity to learn more about the Next Steps Capital Campaign at camp, ask questions about the new chapel plans, and offer financial support to the campaign.
Becoming a Neighborhood Destination
In the last week the Crosstown building provided an end-of-life gathering for a retired Nokomis postal worker, a food shelf to help neighbors with food insecurity, and a new polling location for 352 people to exercise their right to vote in the primary elections. In total close to 500 neighbors have used the property!
In the fall we will also welcome a homeschool co-op twice a week for classes.
Celebration of Life
Dick Stembridge Celebration of Life
The celebration of life service for Richard Stembridge will be held Saturday, September 3rd at 1:00 at Crosstown, with visitation to follow.
This service will also be offered by livestream direct link.

Help with the TP supply
So far over 175 rolls of TP have been donated! That helps cover one month of food shelf dates.
As the food shelf continues on, we are committing to ensure that every food shelf has enough toilet paper for ALL of our guests through the rest of the year. If you would like to help this ongoing project there is a TP Tithe drop-off bin in the gathering area next to the missions wall.
Last distribution we hit a new record of 64 families served! That means we are aiming for at least 130 rolls of TP needed every month in order for every family to receive one roll.
🛍️ Help needed with Paper Bag Shortage
Guests to the food shelf often bring their own bags, but it is very helpful to have extra paper bags on hand. If you have paper bags we would be happy to see them reused.

Kitchen is now OPEN! 🍳 🍜 ☕
In the last six months we have been beset with kitchen issues: broken fridge, leaking ice machine, malfunctioning garbage disposal, sink drainage issues, flooding from the main drain, and a broken custodial sink. It's been a haul, but the Properties Commission and contracted professionals have been working diligently to complete all these repairs. We are excited to announce that the kitchen is now fully operational and open for use.
Youth & Children's Ministry Plans
