County receives $750K in funding for Hope Center improvements
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer applauded Delaware's federal delegation this week after Congresswoman Lisa Blunt-Rochester, Senator Chris Coons and Senator Tom Carper were able to secure $750,000 in appropriations for improvements to The Hope Center. The Atlantic-10 will bring their Women's Basketball Championship Tournament to Wilmington again this year, tipping off in March and deciding which team will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Improvements continue at Delcastle walking, jogging trails
New Castle County public works teams and contractors have been busy this winter replacing sections of the 1.75 mile walking trail around the Delcastle Recreational Park. As work continues on park improvements, County leadership would like to thank regular park users for their patience as improvements are made.
Executive staff tours FinTech building at UD's STAR Campus
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, Economic Development Director Charuni Patibanda and Chief of Staff Aundrea Almond toured UD's FinTech Building at the STAR Campus on Thursday afternoon. The FinTech Innovation Hub is one of the newest centers for technological development on the campus.
