Some of the members and sponsor of the North Coast's newest high school aviation club took to the skies with a flight in Betsy's Biscuit Bomber, C-47B, on November 10th. The flight took them out along the coastline and over Hearst Castle.

Estrella Warbirds Museum supports our local youth aviation club.  Stay posted with developing news.
Woodland Auto Display Construction Update

Last month this building was fine lines on a plan. Now, with Thanksgiving in a couple of days, it should be weather tight while the interior walls are being constructed.

Of course the facility would not be expanded unless there were new feature vehicles being readied for display.  Shortly after the first of the year and well before next year's Warbirds Wings & Wheels, you will be able to check out some of the new displays under wraps!  From fine lines to exquisite automotive displays, the Woodland Auto Display has always left visitors with rounded open mouths, saying, "Wow! Look at that!"

More pictures can be found here.

Now that the holidays are upon us and visitors start showing up at your doorstep, there's no better treat than to take a day for a visit to Estrella Warbirds Museum and the Woodland Auto Display.  Everyone always seem to find that one rare item they've never seen before or that special part of history that brings a flood of memories.

We will be spending family time on Thanksgiving and Christmas falls on a Tuesday this year, also a day we are normally closed.  We will be open the day after and the weekend prior, so bring your friends and family!

Preservation/Restoration Work Keeps on Going On
Repaint Completed

EWM  Restoration Crew currently has two projects underway. We reported on our Bell UH-1D Huey last month, but in the other half of the restoration facility is an M151 MUTT Jeep undergoing ground up service.

Taken down to its bare minimum package, work on the body for the M151 has been completed and painted. Now re-assembly can proceed with the front and rear suspension to be completed with new bushings, shocks, brake lines, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, tie rod ends and universal joints.  If you have free time this winter and would like to help out, we would love the company!

Warbirds Wings & Wheels 11 MegaSwap Meet Coordinator

Do you want to get involved and make a difference? We are still looking for a unique individual (or couple) to work with an elite team and  head up coordination of the MegaSwap Meet at next year's Warbirds Wings & Wheels 11 event in May 2019. We have more space available next year as the grounds for our newly acquired acreage next door is being prepped for additional vehicle and swap meet display area. We  have access to many helpers and existing routines, we  just need a coordinator for the swap meet. The Mega SwapMeet has been widely received and has become an integral part of our annual event.  If you are interested, we'd love to work with you, please contact us via this link.
