Hi! Welcome back to VOICES' monthly electronic newsletter. Like many not-for-profit organizations, June 30 is the end of our fiscal year, and we ended it with a bang -- celebrating our 40th anniversary. In this issue, we will recap that amazing event and preview what August and the new fiscal year have in store.

Happy 40th VOICES!

VOICES marked its 40th anniversary on June 30 with a community celebration at Lincoln Mall full of fun, food and fond memories.

More than 200 people gathered at Lincoln Mall to enjoy lunch and honor the founding of the organization. Highlighting the day was a presentation by Sen. Brian Stewart to Executive Director Beth Maskell with a certificate from the Illinois Senate recognizing VOICES for its 40 years of service to the community. (Top photo) Games for kids of all ages also were plentiful. (Left photo) History displays and free admissions to the Children's Hands-On Museum, which featured Prevention Education presentations, capped the day. Thanks to all who celebrated with us!
