Have a website and/or blog with written content?
You own a website live for years but want to get some traction on the search engines. Here's some tips:
Target Keywords
This is a great way to drive organic search traffic to your website. Research which keywords suit your business/organization and add those to your content. Search engines help users find that information. This also helps with the algorithms and ranks sites higher.
Short sentences and paragraphs for the win :
Long sentences can be hard to read and, with so much information available, it's wise to keep them shorter. This keeps the attention of the reader. Usually, about three to four sentences per paragraph should be a maximum. Otherwise, you may lose your readers and they may "click away' from your page.
Use bullet points
These are easy to read and get to the point. This may have you featured in snippets in A.I. searches. You can also have each point link to another page or article on your website.
Add a graphic, image, or video
This helps break up the text and even enhance your message.
Typically, it's one for every three to five hundred words. You may look cluttered to the read and it gets a little hard to follow the message.
Display your expertise
You can write testimonials from happy customers who have used your product or service. Another idea is to provide tutorials on your items with downloadable PDFs. Even a nice case study showing how a problem was solved using your business product or service would work.
