Welcome to the Partnership, Dr. David Liu!

Dave is joining the Partnership's Genomics Core as the DF/HCC Core Director. He is a medical oncologist and computational biologist at DFCI and Brigham & Women's Hospital with a background in computer science, biostatistics, and epidemiology.


He studies predictors of therapy response and resistance from molecular assays of clinical samples, including multi-omics, single-cell, and spatial assays, and in particular examining drivers of tumor evolution through longitudinal studies of individual patients.

GMaP Region 4 Research Support Awards

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis to support a range of cancer research activities. The goal of the Research Support Award is to stimulate or support new research with a funding amount of up to $1,000 and all expenses invoiced by June 30, 2023. Fellowship in Cancer Survivorship Research

The Perini Family Survivorship Center at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute invites members of the DF/HCC and Harvard Medical community to apply for a two-year fellowship.

Student Spotlight  Arianna Maddox!

Arianna is an undergraduate student working in the lab of Dr. Kimberly Hamad-Schifferli. After finishing her undergrad, she plans on taking a couple of developmental years to gain clinical experience before applying to medical school.


She aspires to become a doctor and potentially work in an administrative leadership position, such as a Chief Medical Officer. Although uncertain about which medical field she wants to specialize in, she hopes the work as a CMO will allow her to engage with patients and make administrative improvements to the healthcare system.

Transforming Academia: Stories of Inclusion and Belonging

Join the Partnership this Friday, May 5th, as panelists share stories of their experiences advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging within their research environments, departments or institutions. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to participate in panelist-led small group discussions to reflect on their own experiences and collectively brainstorm how these shared stories can support ongoing efforts at their own institutions and workplaces. GMaP Region 5 Career Development Workshop - July 11-12, 2023

The Career Development Workshop is an annual two-day workshop that brings together trainees, early-career investigators, and senior investigators from institutions throughout the region. The purpose of the workshop is to provide small group instruction and one-on-one mentoring to individuals who intend to apply for grant funding in the coming year.

Congratulations, Drs. Ore Odejide and Ijeoma Eche!

Ore Odejide, MD, was selected to receive the 2023-2024 Jane C. Weeks Investigator award at DFCI!


Dr. Odejide joined the Partnership as a postdoctoral fellow in 2013 and in 2020 received funding for a pilot project titled "Alleviating Anxiety Among Patients Newly Diagnosed with Cancer."

Ijeoma Eche, PhD, MPH, received the 2023 GSAF Award for her project "The PRECEIVE Study: Pediatric Oncology Nurses' Perspectives as InterVentionists."


Dr. Eche joined the Partnership in 2020 as a nursing postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Joanne Wolfe.
