January 2023
2022 Community Impact
Clothes To Kids of Denver shoppers took home 10,974 school wardrobes in 2022, making it our busiest year ever! That's almost 230,000 pieces of clothing! An impressive 92% of kids left with a full 21-piece wardrobe.
Our shoppers also took home 31,111 pounds of "extras" including school supplies, books, toys, accessories and winter gear.

Thank you to our incredible donors and volunteers for helping us reach so many deserving students!

Highlights from the Holidays

Meet our friends Kasina and Charles from Dependable Cleaners. They recently filled our racks with a huge donation of amazing brand new coats. The annual Dependable Cleaners' Coats for Colorado drive has provided us with hundreds of coats over the years. Thank you!

Our beloved volunteer Linda (middle in photo) inspired her neighbors in Cherry Hills III to hold a clothing drive. They recently delivered an impressive collection of new coats, hand-knit hats, gloves and new clothing. Collections like this are so helpful during this busy winter shopping season!

Proceeds from coat drives across the city have arrived almost daily for the past month. Quentin (right in photo) from fellow nonprofit Kodak Cares brought us more than 100 coats. This was their third donation this year! We also received more than 200 coats from the annual collection at Most Precious Blood Catholic School in Denver.

The community of Challenge To Excellence Charter School created a lovely C2E Giving Tree to collect clothing and coats from their community. Students, parents and staff gave more than 180 items total - all brand new! We were blown away by that number and the participation from the whole school.

Last month, our new board member Bobby Moehlenpah from the FirstBank Corporate Offices braved the ultra cold temperatures to drop off a full carload of donations from their staff. Thank you for going the extra mile for our shoppers, and welcome to the board!

The generous community at Timber Trail Elementary collected 110 nice warm coats for our shoppers. Most went out the door with shoppers the same day. Nice work, Timberwolves!

The CTKD Young Professionals came on a busy Saturday a couple weeks ago to volunteer. The store was full of shoppers, and the back room was bursting with things to be processed. This hard-working group kept the racks full and the shoppers happy!

These great students from the Student Government and National Honor Society of Mountain Range High School came in to volunteer after one of the busiest mornings we had in 2022. They did everything to get us ready for the next day!
