The Township of Mulmur is seeking community input on the following proposed music festival:

Anticipated Attendance: 25,000

 

Residents and agencies will be given the opportunity to ask questions and speak to the applicants, as well as provide feedback to Council to assist in their decision making.

 

The public meeting will be held on

November 15, 2023 at 7:00pm

at the Township Office

Mulmur and Dufferin County lead the way in emergency preparedness!


Dufferin County and its local municipal partners continue to lead the way in emergency preparedness and are ready to meet the needs of residents and visitors in a crisis.


Dufferin County has provided Amaranth, East Garafraxa, Grand Valley, Melancthon, Mono, Mulmur, Orangeville and Shelburne with eight stocked municipal emergency support services (ESS) trailers to provide support in local crisis situations. These trailers are the first of their kind in Ontario at a regional level and will help ensure the safety and well-being of the community in emergency situations.


The trailers contain equipment and provisions to enable volunteers to support to up to 50 people in emergencies, including:


  • 50 folding cots
  • 50 blankets and pillows
  • Reflective vests for volunteers
  • Personal hygiene supplies
  • Emergency food supplies
  • First aid kits
  • Administrative supplies

Primrose Elementary School Playground


The Township is proud to have been a part of the new playground at Primrose Elementary School. This playground boasts a ton of exciting features including a log jam, chin-up bars, sensory panels, a new sandbox, no-mow zone, new shade trees and slides.

Construction is anticipated to start the week of October 16, 2023, and be completed in approximately one week.

Detours will be in effect.

Residents are invited to attend either in-person or online to submit their input and have a say in Mulmur’s 2024 budget. Written submissions will also be accepted and can be sent to treasurer@mulmur.ca. Council proposes to adopt the 2024 Budget at its meeting on December 14, 2023.

Thomson Trail Ice Rink is back !


We are excited to announce that the Thomson Trail Community Ice Rink is returning for its third year! However, we need volunteers to help with the set up and weekly maintenance of the rink. This is a great opportunity for high school students to earn community hours while giving back to the community. We welcome and appreciate the support of anyone who is willing to lend a hand.
