Happy Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week!

Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) helped RB put on an amazing Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week! Students and faculty dressed as their favorite Loteria card, represented their dream university, and got to pick up a paleta! This spirit week is just one example of RB's celebration and appreciation of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Friday is for Fruit Pizza!

Ms. Pitzaferro's Food I class spent the last week prepping and making Fruit Pizzas. On day 1, the students watched a demo led by two of their peers and on day 2, students headed into the kitchens to make their fruit pizzas. On Friday, students will take the prep work from Thursday to complete their finished product.

First-Ever Student Equity Leadership Team

Congratulations to the students selected to be founding members of the Student Equity Leadership Team (SELT)! The SELT team is comprised of RBHS students committed to educational excellence, innovation, and equity. They work with the RBHS staff to share collective values and formalize a vision for strengthening the school/district culture.

2023 School College Alliance Workshop

On Tuesday, RBHS faculty and staff members attended the School College Alliance Workshop, "CCPE: A Focus on Collaboration." Patty Sarkady, an Applied Arts teacher at RBHS, spoke on the Team-Based Challenge Panel. This conference is an example of our strong collaboration with the Des Plaines Valley Region Education Cooperative and Triton College.

Cal's Angels T-Shirts

This week, RBHS sold t-shirts for Cal's Angels, a pediatric cancer foundation with a mission of granting wishes, raising awareness, and funding research to help kids fight cancer. Students, faculty, and staff will wear these shirts and yellow next week to support this cause.
