Farewell for the Summer
Greetings!
My mother used to tell me that the older you get, the faster the years go by. She was spot on as all mothers are! This year certainly flew by and we’ve said goodbye to another outstanding group of seniors. As with each graduating class we are excited to watch from afar who they become and what career paths they will choose.

This school year also ended with several retirements of outstanding staff including, Ms. Baldwin, Ms. Blomker, Ms. Dwyer, Mr. Gustafson, Mr. Kelly, and Mr. Raatz. These are six outstanding educators who have given their lives to service over the past several years and will be missed dearly in the classrooms and school buildings.

As I end my time here at New London-Spicer, I do it with mixed emotions. The people of these communities are absolutely exceptional. The students and staff here are also outstanding. Our board of education is top notch. I’ll miss working with all of you. I am also excited about the new challenges that lie ahead of me. I guess in very short summary, you’re all amazing people and you’ve collectively built a great place to live, work, learn, and play. Thank you all for your support and relationships over these last three years.

In closing, the new school year will welcome a new superintendent, Mr. Jamie Boelter, our current high school principal. Mr. Boelter will work hard on behalf of all stakeholders to ensure a safe, welcoming, and nurturing working and learning environment. I have complete confidence in his abilities to lead!

Have a relaxing and refreshing summer!

Dr. Bill Adams
New London-Spicer Schools Superintendent
