Thank You for Supporting Today Matters!
A huge and humble thank you to all those from New Life Church who came out to Culver's in support of Today Matters Mental Health Ministries. The success of this ministry is due to events such as this as well as supporting our guests who share their passion to help others.
A special thank you to the volunteer "food runners" who promoted the ministry by giving our confirmation cards with every meal. Dick and Ruth Brewer, Maggie and Kellie Shaw, Tim Buck and special celebrity for the evening, Pastor Casey!
The love that was shown is truly a blessing and may God continue to grow this ministry.

Feed the Harbor, February 23
The Feed The Harbor 15th annual event is an opportunity to engage in selfless service and extravagant generosity. On February 23rd from 9 am - 3 pm, shoppers at 5 Publix stores in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda will donate about 30,000 pounds of food valued at about $60,000. Volunteers will be waiting at collection tables to box food for an estimated 25 local pantries to pick up at 3 pm. Pantries then distribute the food to the less fortunate. Will you please join us in shopping?
Twenty plus pantries in our community report that they assist over 11,000 people weekly. One pantry serves over 1400 weekly; Another 1200 weekly.
Volunteers are needed the day of the event to work 2 shifts: 8am - 11:30 am or 11:30 am - 3pm. Volunteers are asked to dress comfortably, wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Young Life Gala, February 23
Tom Little
Chair, Missions Committee
Reservation time for the GALA is almost over with the time only a week away. Our church along with other Punta Gorda churches will fill our Life Center on Sunday Afternoon from 3-5 so that we can hear from the teens who have accepted Jesus. As these kids from Charlotte High and PG Middle School bring us our drinks and hors d’oeuvres we will have a time to talk with them and hear their personal Jesus story. For many do not have a Christian family and this gives them time to see that many adults are following Jesus and are there to support them. The GALA theme will be western, so dress in jeans and a bandana. Let us show the teens and the members of other churches who are joining us what a friendly church we have.
You will have opportunity to register for the GALA this Sunday at the Mission Table or you can call for more information or to register: Peter Gillen, 941-661-8367, or Bob Vierday, 941-423-0990.

That’s why we all need Christian community! It’s also why we’re offering Life Groups this spring in sync with our Lent sermon series, The Way to the Cross.
Sign-ups for these six week groups will start soon, but we’re now recruiting Group Leaders and Group Hosts. Existing groups and classes can be part of the effort but we also want to create NEW short-term groups! Groups will begin meeting the week of March 9, 2025.
