Important News - BillMax 2022 Q3
As promised, the release containing BDC support is available in the BillMax Customer Portal. Only our USA customers have to worry about the BDC filing by September 1, but there is plenty in this release for all customers. You can:

  • Capture your customer's signature for the Service Terms and Conditions in the Customer portal.
  • Email customers by POP, ZIP, county, etc. using an email template. So much easier!
  • Show by day your revenue gains and losses with the Revenue Generating Unit reports. Setup is involved but clarity is the outcome.
  • Know exactly when the bill was opened by your customer with our new AWS SES email service. Contacts sales@billmax.com for pricing and details.
  • Submit the FCC 477 that has been modified to use the new technology codes and generate the BDC report.
  • The release also includes fixes needed for reported issues.

The Divide discusses what Zumwalt's vision for WISPA as the federal government prepares to hand down tens of billions in broadband grants for states to eradicate gaps. The pod cast presents what WISPA is doing for WISPs to get questions answered and act as a voice of their concerns in the policies and mapping requirements that are coming down from the FCC.
Attention Grant Writers
A member of the Billmax team recently attended a presentation by Andrew Afflerbach, PhD, PE, CEO and chief technology officer for CTC Technology & Energy. A consulting firm, CTC offers strategy and guidance to public sector and nonprofit entities. Dr. Afflerbach authored a report and analysis via the website of the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society. It may be useful in writing proposals directed to public/private partnerships as they relate to serving the unserved. He drew the conclusion that except for the most remote areas fiber is a longer term solution with less capital given a 30 year timeframe. Since many of your companies offer a hybrid solution, this report may help you build your case to win a share of the upcoming projects. BillMax, of course, is technology agnostic and will remain so.
